Hi Aniesa! Here are the details about Breast Augmentation:
BREAST AUGMENTATION (SURGICAL SILICONE IMPLANT)
This is a surgical procedure that makes use of silicone implants that is inserted under the muscle bed (for stability and natural look) to increase bust size.
BEFORE SURGERY
1. Consultation is a must. You must be seen by our doctors first for proper treatment advice.
2. Laboratory exams are required to complete before the surgery to ensure that you are fit to undergo the procedure. Here are the Laboratory exams:
Complete Blood Count
Clotting Time
Bleeding Time
Prothombin Time, Partial Thromboplastin Time
Chest X-ray
SGPT/ALT
Creatinine
Cardio-Pulmonary Clearance*
*Cardio-Pulmonary clearance must be done in Metro Manila. This is because if anything unexpected happens, we can locate the doctor that cleared you for surgery easily. The rest of the test can be done in Diagnostic Centers nearest you.
3. Do not eat or drink anything 6 hours prior to the procedure.
4. Do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages 2 weeks before the procedure.
5. Take prophylactic antibiotic one day before treatment.
6. No Aspirin and Vitamin E for 2 weeks earlier to the surgery. These medicines may put you at risk for bleeding because they thin out the blood.
DURING THE SURGERY
1. General Anesthesia is administered by the Anesthesiologist.
2. The surgery takes 2-3 hours (including recovery time)
AFTER THE SURGERY
1. Clean and dress wound daily. Apply Betadine antiseptic and Fucidin ointment on the suture sites.
2. No stretching and Lifting and Driving for 3 weeks.
3. No wearing of Bra with under wire for 1 month, instead, you may use nipple pads or sports bra.
4. Elastic bandage should be worn for 5-7 days.
5. You may take a shower but make sure that the incision site is kept dry by covering it with Glad Wrapper or Cling wrap.
6. No Aspirin and Alcohol for 5 days.
7. Drains will be placed on the treated sites for 3-5 days. Maintain a negative pressure on both drains at all times.
8. Sutures will be removed after 5 -7 days or on the scheduled follow-up visit.
9. Continue taking antibiotics prescribed up to 7 days. Pain Relievers are given and may be taken every 4 to 6 hours or as prescribed by the doctor
10. Healing Time: 1-2weeks, but bruising may still continue for another 2 weeks.
11. Maximum results are seen after 1 month.

SCLEROTHERAPY
What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is one of the three modern methods used for removing varicose veins. Unlike the two other methods (vein stripping and ambulatory phlebotomy), sclerotherapy is non-surgical and also more cost-effective. Developed in Europe, it is a simple, virtually painless “clinic procedure” that uses the latest microinjection technology to shrink veins. How does Sclerotherapy work?
