Belo launches Cebu clinic
Last March 24, the Belo Medical Group finally officially launched its newly opened Cebu clinic. It was a whole day affair – a press conference with Dr. Belo and Belo’s celebrity endorsers at noon, the clinic blessing at 4:30 in the afternoon, and finally, a grand summer party to cap off the night.
Braving the first blast of the summer heat, Cebu’s most influential people came and partied the warm summer night away with Dr. Vicki Belo, Cristalle Henares, and the rest of the Belo team. Also present were Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Maurice Arcache, Pepper Teehankee and Anton San Diego, who all flew in from Manila just to be a part of this occasion. Belo endorsers also graced the event. Janno Gibbs and Christopher de Leon both rendered song numbers, and Christian Bautista mesmerized the crowd with a mini-concert accompanied by the Peace Philharmonic Orchestra. Donita Rose hosted the evening’s program, and Claudine Barretto mingled with the guests.
To signify a new beginning for the Belo Medical Group, the program closed with a symbolic butterfly releasing ceremony participated in by Dr. Belo and Cristalle, along with several mother-child tandems from Cebu’s elite.
The Belo clinic, meanwhile, held a very successful open house alongside the night’s events. The staff welcomed and toured the guests around the brand-new clinic facilities.
The event was definitely a big success. The Belo Cebu launch is, without doubt, one to be remembered. Here’s to successful years ahead!

For Skin Whitening, the following products and procedures are usually recommended:
1.) Perfect Glow - whitening tablets, taken 2x a day, 1 bottle contains 124 tablets for 1-2 months.
Php3, 360 per bottle (vat inclusive).
2.) Glutathione IV (intravenous) - Php 3,360.00 per vial (one session) done 2-3 times a week. To achieve maximum results, treatment should be done for 15 sessions. Effect will be seen on your 3rd session.
Package: for 15 sessions- Php 44,800.00. A single treatment consists of 5cc of Vitamin C and 4cc of Glutathione. The product is made from Europe.
3.) Body Scrub with Bleach – Php2, 240 per session (for women only)
This is a relaxing treatment which helps lighten and even out skin color. It makes use of a honey and almond scrub with oat meal that takes out the dead skin and an application of a bleaching cream with fruit acids that helps lighten skin color and makes it smooth. The procedure takes 45 minutes and can be done as often as one to three times a week. This treatment, when done regularly, will help even out skin color all over the body and improve skin texture giving it a natural glow. It can be done for Php 2,240.00/session and to see the results, should be done for a minimum of 15 sessions.
(10 + 2 sessions for only Php 22,400).
4.) Tyrosinase Inhibitor 5 % Lotion (10 g.) - This is basically a whitening cream, which contains 5-Hyroxy; 2 Hydroxymethyl- 4 Pyrone, Glycyrrhiza Globa and Melawhite. It is a very good whitening agent. Ideal for face, Axilla, Inguinal area, elbows and Buttocks. It may be used 2x a day for areas not exposed to sun and once a day in the evening for areas exposed to the sun. Php 560.00. This is available over the counter in any of our clinics.
5.) Kojic Acid (10 g.) - This contains 5- Hydroxy,- 2 Hydroxymethyl- 4H- Pyrone compound which suppresses Melanogenesis. It is a Bleaching agent. Ideal for people wants to have a whiter complexion; usually applied 2x a day. Php 336.00. This is available over the counter in any of our clinics.
6.) Bleaching Soap -Contains hydroquinone, a whitening agent. Used as a bath soap. Indicated to lighten skin tone, May be used twice a day.- Php 224.00. This is available over the counter in any of our clinics.
7.) Belo Essentials – complete line of whitening products, safe and natural (active ingredients from plants). Can be bought at leading supermarkets, drugstores and groceries (locally).

For scars, especially keloids, it would be best if you visit one of our clinics so that the proper assessment can be done.
We usually tell patients that keloid scars are difficult to erase or make it disappear. Most of the time, the results are that the scar is flattened. We however, do the following procedures:
We use the IPL or Intense Pulsed Light then inject the area with Kenacort and tell the patient to bring home the Scar Guard, a topical medicine to be applied to the scar tissue. Scar Guard is PhP5, 040.00. IPL is PhP5, 600 per session and Kenacort injection (for Keloid) is minimum Php1, 155 per treatment. (Alabang, Greenhills and Plaza Makati, Tomas Morato only)
We also have the Versapulse laser - The minimum is PhP6, 720 depending on the size and deepness of the scars.(Podium only)

Nose lift procedure has no side effect. This procedure has only downtime for 1-2 weeks only. Healing time is 2-3 days. You will have follow visit with the Doctor one week after the surgery.

For scars, especially keloids, it would be best if you visit one of our clinics so that the proper assessment can be done.
We usually tell patients that keloid scars are difficult to erase or make it disappear. Most of the time, the results are that the scar is flattened. We however, do the following procedures:
We use the IPL or Intense Pulsed Light then inject the area with Kenacort and tell the patient to bring home the Scar Guard, a topical medicine to be applied to the scar tissue. Scar Guard is PhP5, 040.00. IPL is PhP5, 600 per session and Kenacort injection (for Keloid) is minimum Php1, 155 per treatment. (Alabang, Greenhills and Plaza Makati, Tomas Morato only).

We do apologize but we don’t accept any kind of health cards. For mole removal, we have Carbon Dioxide Laser. Minimum price is Php1, 120 per piece.
We have different procedures for scar removal depending on the cause of the scar. If you have mosquito bite or insect bite scar, we usually recommend body scrub w/ bleach that costs Php2, 240 per session.
For sweaty underarms, we have product and procedures. One of the procedures is Botox. This has 20% discount until May 31, 2010.
For skin whitening, we also have products and procedures. One of the procedures is Glutathione IV (intravenous). It costs Php3, 360 per vial (one session). We have a package of 15 sessions for Php44, 800 only.

4. Do not smoke or drink alcoholic beverages 2 weeks before the procedure.
5. Take prophylactic antibiotic one day before treatment.
6. No Aspirin and Vitamin E for 2 weeks earlier to the surgery. These medicines may put you at risk for bleeding because they thin out the blood.
DURING THE SURGERY
1. General Anesthesia is administered by the Anesthesiologist.
2. The surgery takes 2-3 hours (including recovery time)
AFTER THE SURGERY
1. Clean and dress wound daily. Apply Betadine antiseptic and Fucidin ointment on the suture sites.
2. No stretching and Lifting and Driving for 3 weeks.
3. No wearing of Bra with under wire for 1 month, instead, you may use nipple pads or sports bra.
4. Elastic bandage should be worn for 5-7 days.
5. You may take a shower but make sure that the incision site is kept dry by covering it with Glad Wrapper or Cling wrap.
6. No Aspirin and Alcohol for 5 days.
7. Drains will be placed on the treated sites for 3-5 days. Maintain a negative pressure on both drains at all times.
8. Sutures will be removed after 5 -7 days or on the scheduled follow-up visit.
9. Continue taking antibiotics prescribed up to 7 days. Pain Relievers are given and may be taken every 4 to 6 hours or as prescribed by the doctor
10. Healing Time: 1-2weeks, but bruising may still continue for another 2 weeks.
11. Maximum results are seen after 1 month.
