The Belo Medical Group recently received the Reader’s Digest award for being one of the most trusted brands in 2010. The esteemed medical institution was given the platinum award in the beauty clinic category.
Belo topped the survey conducted by the prestigious magazine, which identifies the brands that Asians trust across a range of consumer product categories.
Survey respondents were asked to name their most trusted brand in each of the product categories and then to give a rating from poor to excellent on six qualitative criteria: trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovative and social responsibility.
Brands that scored clearly above their competitors received a gold award, while brands with scores more than three times that of their competitor, were given the platinum award.
Dr. Belo received the award from Tom Moore, editorial director of Reader’s Digest Asia Pacific and Gwen Loong, group advertising director of Reader’s Digest Asia. The ceremonies were held at the ballroom of New World Renaissance Hotel.
The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Award also honored the market leaders in telecommunications, food and beverage, health and personal care, information technology, services and household products.
Simultaneous with the international recognition, Belo was also recently featured in the Asia Business Channel report, “The Philippine Advantage,” that discussed medical tourism in the region. It was aired on Channel News Asia.
A production crew based in the United Kingdom flew to Manila to feature the clinic and interview Dr. Belo, who talked about cosmetic surgery and the world-class treatments and services being offered by Belo.
